I’ve always enjoyed portrait photographs that can capture a persons unique qualities and personality, becoming a lasting memory of a moment in their life. I enjoy capturing a persons story in a portrait, which is why I prefer to work on location with natural light whenever possible. I feel a studio setting with artificial lighting is far from a natural space for most people to relax and tell their story. Better to capture them in their own environment and make this part of their portrait story.
